Adobe ends the Lightroom 5 Beta and releases the retail product

Close-up view of a Dandelion
While I don’t like to find them in my yard, I do enjoy photographing Dandelions.

I woke up around 3:30 this morning and could not get back to sleep, but I was pleasantly surprised when I turned on my computer to learn that Adobe had released Lightroom 5 as a full retail product as of Midnight.

I have downloaded the 30 day trial and upgraded my catalog. I prefer to buy a hard copy of any software when possible, so I will use the trial until my physical copy arrives, and then just type in the serial numbers to register the trial version.

I did not play much with the Beta release, so i am glad to have a fully fledged product available now to take for a spin. So far, I am very impressed with the dust spotting assistance filter, that is the single best improvement I have noted, in addition to some welcome speed increases.
