My mom came by today to drop off a book. She had just been at her hair salon getting the full treatment. While she and Juliann (my wife) chatted about one thing and another I quickly set up my studio lights. As mom was headed for the door I announced that she was to be my subject for a few minutes and then dragged her in for an impromptu photo session. She was in a hurry to move on to her other errands but was a good sport and let me have my fun.
I started with a soft box to camera left but didn’t like the results I was getting. I switched up and went with a beauty dish straight on to be kinder to mom’s “experienced” face. Some minor retouching in PS CS5 and there you have it.
