Frosting covers Yosemite

Well, as I had hoped, this morning I awoke to the entire Yosemite Valley coated in a thick coat of fresh snow.  Everything looked like it had been covered in frosting.  Truly amazing.  When shooting in conditions like this you have to constantly monitor your exposures and dial in exposure adjustments to compensate for the bright snow and deep shadow areas.  Kristen and I raced from one location to the next trying to keep ahead of the warm melting rays of the sun.  We both finished the day with numerous unforgettable images.  By 3PM almost all evidence of the previous nights snow fall was melted away.  Our pictures are the only evidence that it actually happened.  Works for me.
