Juliann has been knitting up a storm lately. She is amassing a varied collection of knit caps for use in Newborn Portrait sessions.
A few weeks ago while perusing a newborn posing guide we saw many knit caps and blankets. This has inspired Juliann to break out her needles and she has quickly amassed quite a varied collection.
For this shot I loosely arranged the caps in a natural basket that we like to use for posing newborns and set them in the sun. I shot this image with the D3 and the 50mm f1.4 lens at 1.4 for a very shallow depth of field. I like the detail in the foreground accompanied by the soft array of colors in the background.
